 Though never seen together, the three kachinas presented here all embody life. The Tawa Kachina, or Sun 
Shield Kachina(center) represents the force behind all living things on earth; the Sun. La' pilawr Okya, or 
Feather String Girl(left) is part of the improtant Zuni Curing rites ceremony. Kumanshi Okya, or Comanche 
Girl(right) is a kachina which came into being when the Zuni people decided to recognize other Native American 
tribes as part of one great body of people here on earth.
