Butterfly Dancer

Of all the creatures on Earth , none is represented in more cultures, religions, and  rites than the butterfly.  Embodiment of new life, life changes and of benefit to all, it is held to be the ideal of all things good in life.  No  wonder it is held up, even above human kind itself as an ideal to be followed. Here, a Native American Dancer  performs a butterfly dance as part of a harvest blessing ceremony, where butterflies are responsible for the  pollination of the spring crops.
