City of Gold  Pueblo de Oro

When the Spanish first entered the Southwestern portion of North America, it wasn't to bring the kind and  loving words of their religion, but to conquer and take by force anything of value that the people they met had.  Fortunately for the Native Americans of this area, the Spanish conquest was brief, as the tale of Cities of Gold,  was just that, a tale; unless, you're referring to "God's Gold" of heavenly light, cast down upon people who lived with the land.
