Brothers & Sisters of the Sea

The Dolphin and Porpoise are felt, by Native American peoples to be as smart, if not smarter than humans.  They are considered to be our brothers and sisters in the sea.  Here the dolphin is shown, stylized with the rain  symbol, leaping into the air, bringing with it water from the sea into the sky, where it is transformed into rain, for the benefit of their land bound families(Humans).  The squash blossom necklace is a symbol of thanksgiving for  good crops and abundant rains.  The Sun is shown as a stylized version of the Zia Sun Symbol.
